The participants from many countries passed the hard preliminary match and seemed to be ready for the IEM finals. The Korean professional gamers Joo "Zest" Sung-wook and Kim "sOs" Yoo-jin also participated in this tournament. They had fought intensely, but Scarlett won the first prize. Zest failed at around eight, and sOs won the second prize.

Intel hosted Intel Extreme Masters in PyeongChang 2018 Olympics. It was held from February 5th to 7th. Also, prize money is higher than last IEM, $150000. The professional gamers did their best, but most of them were fallen after the match.

In North America preliminary match, many named professional gamers, Neeb, SpeCial, and Scarlett, were about to be disqualified, but as the host's flexibility handle, they got the chance to go the IEM finals. The fight between disqualified professional gamers' result was that SpeCial and Scarlett got a qualification to the IEM finals. In South Korea preliminary match, on the first day, Yi Jae Sun, Kim Yoo Jin, Go Byeong Jae, Yi Sin Hyeong, Zoo Sung Wook, Kim Joon Ho, Kim Do Woo, and Eo Yoon Soo passed the first preliminary match. On the second day, Zoo Sung Wook won against Kim Yoo Jin at the final in 3-1 and got the first qualification. On the final day, Kim Yoo Jin fought Kim Do Woo and won the match, so he got the second qualification to PyeongChang.

At the round of 16, many professional gamers skill gap was revealed through this round. Elazer, Zoo Sung Wook, Scarlett, Serral, Kelazhur, Kim Yoo Jin, Bly, and SpeCial went to the round of eight. At the round of 8, Elazor won against Zoo Sung Wook, so only one Korean professional gamers left. Elazer, Scarlett, Kim Yoo Jin, and SpeCial went to the round of 4. At the round of 4, Scarlett and Kim Yoo Jin got to the final match. At the final match, Scarlett defeated Kim Yoo Jin in 3-1, so Scarlett won the first prize.

Intel hosted IEM in PyeongChang 2018 Olympics. Many professional gamers from a lot of countries had a fierce fight, and Scarlett won the first prize.
