Memorizing can be said a major feature of humanity. Memorizing something is the most meaningful and most important act for humans to remember special things and do our work correctly. These memories exist via stimuli perceived by the senses. The hippocampus, which is the main factor for memory, is where episodic memory is rooted in. This is a key point of memorizing in our brain.
First of all, what is episodic memory, and how it can work? It is the human ability to recall and play out specific experiences. It affects human memories and takes charge of memorizing main events. According to Medical X press, to know how humans can remember something through these things, Researchers at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne recently conducted a study about hippocampus formation. They investigated if it has the ability to navigate through imagined events. The researchers said that they reanalyzed a magnetoencephalography data set collected to know about it.
Then, what would happen in that research? As a result, the hippocampus analyses some light on the contribution of brain regions within the hippocampal formation, and this leads to remember something. The researchers said that they found selective involvement of the medial temporal lobes with notable lateralization of the main effects. The study showed that the hippocampus is a key role in mentally ordering or imagining specific events.
In conclusion, episodic memory is in the hippocampus which does the main role of memorizing something. It also has the ability to navigate imaginations or specific events in our brains. Our brain has so many amazing and interesting things with an acquaintance. It will be meaningful to be finding out more and more knowledge about our brain.
