At present, people all around the world, especially in the United States of America and South Korea, are having a heated discussion about the abolition of criminal abortion. Nowadays, abortion is becoming a worldwide issue, and actually, a lot of operations of abortion are being performed to pregnant women in secret. Abortion also becomes a series of customs that are implemented around 55 million times just for a year. It killed 1.8 billion of embryos from 1960 to 1997, and it is a number which constitutes 30 percent of the world's total population. Is abolishing abortion a proper way to protect the right of pregnant women?

In some supporter's stance, they assert that abortion law threatens and controls women's bodies for national need. Also, they said that they will support abortion decriminalization and build a society that assures the safety of having an abortion. Some supporters view illegal abortion as a struggle to gain the civil rights of women. They think that illegal abortion is a compulsory means which punishes women who do not want to make the increase of population, a national goal.

In contrast, for some abolition of criminal abortion should not be practiced. First of all, embryos have the right to live their lives. By practicing abortion, people can forget the importance of lives more easily, and sexual life will become more disorder. Abortion controversy can be summarized in one sentence. The thing which is in a pregnant woman's body can be a creature or not. If it is not, people can handle this problem in any way they want, but if it is, we cannot do anything that we want. The baby inside the womb may become an economic burden but that is why charity exists. Those who do not want criminal abortion to be abolished assert that we should not solve this tremendous problem by a tremendous solution which is killing a creature in our body.

As time goes on, we are facing intrinsic human problems like abortion using science and technology. We should intervene in this problem immediately, not just being positive and pessimistic outwardly because abortion does not give any solution to our future life.
