China has almost always been a powerful country. China has always tried to control Asia and be the king amongst Asian countries in the past. Now, not only trying to be the king in Asia, but it is also trying to be the most powerful country in the world. However, it is still unsure if it is really going to be one. There are many policies that Xi Jinping, the general secretary of China, has enacted such as anti Corruption Policy, and One Belt One Road policy. China's military development is just a small fraction of the Chinese dream that Xi mentioned. Although China is trying to be the most powerful country overcoming the US, there are many obstacles that the country is facing.

The major factor is economic and cultural revenge from the western world including the US. Against China's growth, many countries including most of the allied countries with the US are facing China. They do not import some of the items from China, including Huawei products which are now suspected of collecting personal information of the users and sending them back to China without any of their agreements. Additional tariffs to the Chinese products in the US also prohibits China from achieving 'Chinese dream'.

Another factor is China's closed landscape. America has the Pacific ocean on its left side and the Atlantic ocean on the right. However, China has many countries around it, so it is much more difficult for them to do military training and contact countries in the other side of the world. Although the Chinese government is currently performing the One Belt One Road policy, there are also many complaints from countries which are continuing the project including the Maldives, Laos, and several African countries due to their high costs and unfair trade deals.

Although China is a strong country with the countless amount of people, many people worldwide are unsure about them taking over the US and being the most powerful country in the world. Even if the Chinese dream is going to take place, it is very clear that many European countries and the US stay alert and seek revenge for the country by not consuming some of their products.
