There are many people who smoke tobacco. Many people who smoke it also know that it is dangerous. There are reasons why many people cannot easily stop smoking. It is because people do not know how harmful smoking is.


There are many people who die because of smoking. More than seven million people die every year because they smoke tobacco. Also, there are eight hundred thousand people who die because of second-hand smoke. In a cigarette, there are many chemicals, more than seven thousand chemicals. Among seven thousand chemicals, four thousand of them are pernicious ingredients. There are three major pernicious ingredients.

The most famous pernicious ingredient could be nicotine. When people smoke tobacco for the first time or too much time, they feel nauseous or have a headache. That is because of the nicotine. Nicotine needs only seven seconds to reach the brain. In there, the nicotine interrupts brain cell's delivery of information. So when they smoke tobacco, they feel sick. Also, they can forget things many times. Nicotine makes the blood vessels shrink, so it can also cause the heart to get damaged. Also, nicotine causes many cancers, mainly lung cancer.

Second is tar. When people smoke tobacco, a tobacco's filter becomes black. That is because of tar. Tar is a material made of asphalt, it is also cancer causing agent. When tobacco is burned, it makes hydrocarbon which is a cancer-causing agent. It is also too small that bronchial tubes cannot filter hydrocarbon. So, the body absorbs it.


Finally, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. They are included in a cigarette. Cigarette smoke is even worse than air pollution. They stick to red blood cells, instead of oxygen. So people can become oxygen deficit.


Smoking tobacco can damage the heart, brain, and lungs. So, we have to be aware of the dangers of smoking tobacco and reduce to smoking.
