Avicii, one of the world's most successful DJs who helped usher in the global boom in electronic music but struggled to cope with the hard-partying lifestyle, died on Friday in Oman according to his representative. He died at the age of 28. Avicii was among the first DJs to break through in the mainstream as electronic dance music grew over the past decade from nightclubs to Top 40 radio. He created and helped many songs such as Coldplay's "A Sky Full of Stars" and Madonna's last album.
At first, the cause of Avicii's death was confirmed as acute pancreatic cancer, but later, it was reconfirmed as suicide. His representative wanted to protect their privacy in this difficult time, so there were no further statements. Then, many people believed that his death was caused by pancreatic cancer because he also quit his activities in DJ in 2016. However, TMZ report disclosed that Avicii scratched his neck with glass and died from excessive bleeding. Avicii's representatives said that he was constantly worried about his life and happiness. On the other hand, he really struggled with it, and finally, he found peace.
After his friend introduced FL Studio, he devoted himself to producing. When he made songs and uploaded them to his blog, present manager, Ash Pournouri, showed interest and concentrated on producing. In 2008, Avicii debuted under the name Avicii, and in 2011, he gained success commercially. The song, "Levels", hold the rank within ten in 15 countries included Norway, Hungary, and Sweden. In 2013, he made a project with four thousands of artists, "Avicii X You Project". However, his death was declined after 2014, and finally, he announced his retirement of DJ activities on his website.
During Avicii's lifetime, he wrote many popular songs such as "Waiting For Love", "Hey Brother", "Wake Me Up", and many others. I feel really sorry for his death, and I hope he will rest in peace.
