Flight attendant provides in-flight service to passengers and checks facilities in flight. Flight attendant’s wages are high and they have high employment competitiveness. Also, job prospects of a flight attendant are quite bright.

Flight Attendant works on the plane. They check emergency equipment, passengers’ belongings and whether passengers tie seatbelts or not. They sell tax-free goods in flight and guide seats to passengers. Also, they serve drinks, snacks, and in-flight meal and make an in-flight announcement. They do many works on the plane. Moreover, they provide safety training to passengers to prepare for an emergency. When the plane is under in a state of emergency, they help passengers to escape from the plane.

It seems that working as a flight attendant is quite difficult because they do many works on the plane so they need a lot of abilities. An interview with Dayun Jung who graduated Korea Aerospace University Aerial service and has been working in T’ way air said, “To be a flight attendant, we should have service mind and public spirit. Also, we need a good attitude, language ability, and strong physical strength. We need good eyesight, great sociality, and ability to react quickly.” She also said, “To be a flight attendant and work as a flight attendant is very hard but sometimes we can feel happy.”

To be a flight attendant, some airlines require majoring in aerial service, flight operations major. In addition, they require graduating Inha Technical College, Korea Flight Vocational Training Institute, and Hanseo University. Also, students who want to become flight attendants should good at English and other foreign languages to the international flight.
