Thor: Ragnarok, which is the 17th movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, premiered on October 25th in Korea. Its audience number is about 4.7 million. It is also the 3rd movie of Thor series. The director is Taika Waititi, and it stars Cate Blanchett (Hela), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk),Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), Idris Elba (Heimdall), Karl Urban (Skurge) and Jeff Goldblum (Grandmaster).

Surtur (dubbed by Clancy Brown, motion captured by Taika Waititi) warns Thor that he will bring Ragnarok. (destruction of Asgard and the gods) Thor laughs these threats off, defeats Surtur, and comes back to Asgard. But Odin is spending his days lounging about. There is a reason for this, Odin is Loki in disguise.

Thor and Loki locate Odin on Earth.. Odin warns them that Hela is going to return soon. Then he dies. Suddenly Hela arrives, smashes Mjolnir and sends Thor and Loki flying off into the galaxy. And then Hela arrives at Asgard.

Thor ends up on Sakaar, a planet strewn with garbage. He is captured by Valkyrie who transports a confused Thor to Grandmaster. The only way Thor can win his freedom is by taking part in the Grandmaster’s gladiatorial matches and fighting the Grandmaster’s champion. He agrees to fight anyway, and he learns that Loki is on the planet too. Grandmaster’s champion turns out to be the Incredible Hulk. He doesn’t seem to remember Thor and promptly beats him. Thor survives the fight, and convinces Valkyrie to help him escape to save Asgard. The Hulk comes along as well. Loki, eventually has a change of heart and follows after Thor to help. Now, Thor and his new team must go back to Asgard and attempt to defeat Hela.

Most of the audiences said that this movie is the funniest movie of the Thor series. Previous movies in the Thor series were so heavy, so they were not very successful. However, this film may be more successful than the other films by making it based on gags and throwing out the serious atmosphere. There are a lot of viewers that said that the constant and funny gags like the dialogue of Thor and Hulk and the drunk Valkyrie were impressive.

There are two ending credits. We must watch the first one because there is some information about “Avengers: Infinity War”. Thor will return in Avengers: Infinity War which has the biggest scale in MCU. If you are a fan of Thor and Marvel, it would be nice to look forward to Thor’s activity in other films.
