On November 3rd, 2017, the deadliest terror attack since 9/11 occurred. The terror attack happened in New York, on the west side Highway. The victims were riding bikes on the bike pass when the terrorist, an Uzbekistan immigrant, rammed a truck into the bike pass. The truck was rented, and the terrorist killed eight civilians. The terrorist was shot and caught by police, and he is currently hospitalized but will be questioned by police officers.

Out of them were 23 years old Nicholas Cleves, 32-year-old Darren Drake, Ann-Laure Decadt from Belgium and five best friends from Argentina who had come to America for a once in a lifetime trip to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their high school graduation. The victims were killed instantly when the truck made impact on them.
The terrorist, Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, was an Uzbekistan immigrant who came to the US in 2010. He stated that he was motivated to commit the terror attack after watching Islamic State propaganda videos. He had planned for the terror attack for several months and had decided to use a truck only a couple months earlier. His family stated that they had no idea whether or not he had extremist ideas or that he was planning to commit an act of terror. He had shown no strange or extremist behavior recently.

The terrorist had been shot by police and arrested for his crimes.
