Last month, insecticide ingredients were detected on some eggs sold in supermarkets and grocery stores through chemical experiments in South Korea. By these eggs, many people engaged in livestock industry, and school nutritionists faced with difficulties.
      Last year, a related agency in Netherlands accepted the report that insecticide ingredients were detected on some eggs by someone. After receiving the report, millions of eggs were picked up in many countries in Europe such as Netherlands, France, Germany, Belgium and many others, and about 180 of farms in Netherlands were closed. After one month, insecticide ingredients were also detected on some eggs in South Korea.
      Why these eggs have pesticides? Most chickens are grown in their whole life in smaller cages than the A4 paper by farmers in order to cut down the price of eggs. The density of chickens' cages is the cause of these eggs. Because of the small cages, it is easy to spread the mites, and then the farmers have to get rid of harmful insects by spraying pesticided including fipronil that makes eggs polluted.
      The depsrtment of agrifood announced comprehensive countermeasures about practicing livestock products background system not only pork and meat but also chicken in 2019. Also, the small cages are going to be changed into bigger ones, and if farms got an enviroment-friendly certification in the past, they will be reinvestigated and will be canceled when they do not reach the standard.

     Which eggs include the insecticide ingredient in South Korea? If the eggs were produced by the Farm of Mari in Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, 08마리 is written on their shells. Do not eat these eggs because they were polluted by pesticide. Here are other farms that produced eggs that must not be eaten. They were the Farm of Uri in Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, Farms of Shinsun 2 in Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, Farms of Jihyen in Cheorwon-gun, Gangwon-do, Farms of Jeong Hwa in Naju-si, Jeollanam-do and so on. The farms wrote the eggs with 08LSH, 08신선, 09지현, and 13정화. If you see these eggs, throw away them right now.

     The Korean government should fulfill the comprehensive countermeasures quickly and punish these farms. Also, it must have solutions to help the people damaged by these eggs.
