In domestic eggs, the insecticide component, "fipronil", has been detected. This has then become quite controversial. In the opinion of toxic substance experts, this is extremely dangerous because it is a potentially toxic with long-term exposure. Pesticide contaminated eggs are circulating in the market, and attention is focused on its cause.

On August 14, 2017, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Livestock of the Republic of Korea conducted a pesticide residue test in Japan on environmentally friendly laying herbage farms in South Korea. They found that one of the farms in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, had some contamination with bifenthrin. E-mart, Homeplus and Lotte Mart temporarily suspended the sales of these eggs. Delivery has also been temporarily stopped. In addition 11th Street, CU, GS25, and Seven-Eleven temporarily suspended their sale and orders of any egg-based products, as well as, eggs
     According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Livestock and Livestock Foods, DDT was detected in two eco-friendly farms in Gyeongsangbuk-do, during the investigation of  insecticide components. However, the Ministry  said that the detected DDT was below the standard value, so the eco-friendly certification was canceled but classified as a suitable farm. In the aftermath of the "insecticide egg" wave, 54% of respondents said that they were reluctant to eat eggs. As interest in the registration and evaluation of chemical substances has increased, the stock market is also paying attention to the benefits.

The share of companies classified as "beneficiaries of the peace process" rose by 4.4% and 5.6%,

respectively.

Stem Cell Biotech KOSDAQ acquired a total of 188,000 shares (60%) of CRO, a CRO company, in April, and became a subsidiary. The anticipation was that if the demand for chemical evaluation increased significantly following the enforcement of the peace process, it would be possible to increase sales smoothly. Kang Sung Biotech plans to make Kroen a listed company through strategic joint growth as both the first and second CRO companies are listed on KOSDAQ.
