Since last April one terrible incident started and it led to a middle school teacher committing suicide. Last April 19^th report was received at the police and education office. The substance of the report was “Teacher, named ‘송’ harassed girl student.” The middle school teacher who is in charge of prevention of school violence and ill-fated relationships with ‘송’, named ‘김’ reported after he heard students statement. The ‘김’ teacher said ‘Write where ‘송’ touched you. This statement, which the student wrote, in substance was ‘Teacher 송 massaged and touched my shoulders, legs and cheek.’ Teacher ‘김’ report at police and education office with the statement. Teacher ‘송’ was suspended from work by the education office, and also they removed him from his position.

But a few days later the student who said “I was touched by ‘송’” admitted it was not true. Actually it was student’s false report. This student made the report because of a grudge with teacher ‘송’. The student was scolded because of her phone and she made up story ‘송’ touched her. Teacher ‘김’ didn’t hear correctly and he just report what she said. One student told the truth first and then other students tell the truth. The students and their parents write “He didn’t touched her so don’t punish him.” and they sent this petition to the education office and police. Police stopped the investigation but ‘human rights center under the influence of education office’ didn’t stop their investigation.

The human rights center sends this incident to education officer audit and inspection officer. Family of the deceased has the opinion that he is innocence. ‘송’ teachers wife told the human rights center “Your opinion is you didn’t touch students, they put the blame on you, if it is right the student will get punished.” He didn’t want his student get punished so he said “I misunderstand.” The human rights center claims this is him admitting his fault.. The center sends inspection schedule to middle school ‘송’ worked at August 4th. Finally, he commits suicide the next day.

These days we think that students’ human rights are important but we need to think about teachers’ human rights.
