In September 2016, a four years old child who ate a burger at Mcdonald’s got HUS and even a renal disorder. Also, on May 17th 2017, a three year old child who ate a burger at Mcdonald’s got hemorrhagic enteritis, too. So, the child’s parents are suing Mcdonald’s now.
A lawyer said, “Mcdonald’s says that they roast patties using a machine, so it’s impossible that some of the patties were uncooked. However, there can be other causes such as the machines malfunctioning.” And, the child's parents said, "The ground beef that our kid only ate was the beef in Mcdonald's hamburger. Also, a doctor said that there can be animals' internal organs in ground beef, so we are sure that the disease is because of that beef."
In ground beef, there can be cows or pigs’ internal organs. The internal organs of cows or pigs can cause many diseases such as HUS. Although most of germs are automatically emitted from our body, we can still get the diseases. Also, especially children tend to get diseases more easily than adults, so we should be careful when we eat ground beef.
