Many people believe that child abuse should disappear immediately. However, some people actually tend to treat it as a domestic problem and turn a blind eye to the scene of abuse. Recently, a baby who was 16 months of age died with bruises all over the body. She is Jeong-in, who is a victim of this case.

A case of abuse of Jeong-in begun with a couple's adoption in January. They said that they wanted to show normal people could adopt children. After two months; however, Jeong-in started to attend a daycare center with a big injury. The couple had abused Jeong-in for months and recorded 800 videos of abusing her. The daycare center teacher who had seen Jeong-in's injuries consistently suspected child abuse in March, but the police took no notice. The reports of a pedestrian and a doctor as well as the teacher were also declared the case closed, only listening to a couple's testimony. On October 13th, the wife perfunctorily took Jeong-in to the hospital and Jeong-in eventually died with a subcutaneous injury of the pancreas.

After this case became known to people, many people have been furious and some people have been even tormented by vicarious Trauma. People have requested intensive punishments for the couple and bystanders like the police and the couple's relatives. The police who did not perform the overall investigation offer a belated apology. Also, the experts emphasize that legislation for the show should not be conducted, and the government should set environments in which manuals are operated.

A case of abuse of Jeong-in shows the need for not only attention about child abuse but also complement of weak point of law. To eradicate the child abuse problems, many people should pay attention to children and lead from the front.
