Now, the fastest train in the world is SCMaglev in Japan, which recorded 630 kilometers per hour. However, people are making a train which can go two times faster than SCMaglev. This is Hyperloop. Hyperloop is the transportation that moves the vehicle in the Evacuated Tube. The American businessman, Elon Musk, came up with this transportation and opened it to the public in 2013. The way to go about 1,200 kilometers per hour is moving inside of the Evacuated Tube because there is no air resistance in the tube. Another reason is the magnetic rise. This reduces the friction force when the train moves. There are many advantages to use Hyperloop. However, there are also disadvantages while using the Hyperloop.

The first advantage is that people can go to the destination without any stops. Then, they can use more time than before. For example, now, the people who live in Seoul are hard to travel to Busan only for a day. However, if Hyperloop is commercialized, traveling inside of South Korea can be a day's trip. It can be more economical than now. Next, people can decrease the time to stay on the train. Elon Musk and other researchers in many countries are targeting to reach 1,200 kilometers per hour. It takes only 20 minutes from Seoul to Busan. Then, people can travel to other places in a less tiring condition.

However, there are disadvantages, too. Most of them are safety problems. First, a very little fragment can be very dangerous. If the railroad is broken, people can know easily, but people cannot see a small fragment in the railroad, so it can be really dangerous to people who are on the train which moves about 1,200 kilometers per hour. Another problem is that it is hard to evacuate in an emergency. The train moves so fast that people cannot handle sudden

emergencies, and it is hard to make a sudden stop. So, there should be a first-aid outfit on the train.

Although Elon Musk first thought of Hyperloop, South Korea is one of the leaders of Hyperloop technology. Korea Railroad Research Institute already succeeded in the experiment that the train moves about 700 kilometers per hour. Many experts say that South Korea can commercialize Hyperloop within the next ten years.
