In December 2019, a new contagious disease called COVID-19 was found in Wuhan, China. It infected Chinese people rapidly, and it soon infected a lot of people in the world. There were 35 million people who were infected by COVID-19, and 1.1 million people died because of the virus. Many people suffer from it, and this virus changed our lives. Why this is dangerous, and how can we stop this?

In December, people in South Korea did not think that COVID-19 is dangerous. However, when a lot of people in South Korea were infected, only then people realized it is dangerous. When people heard that it can be easily transmitted, many people immediately by masks. A lot of people line up at dawn just to buy masks. People could not go to school. Because of COVID-19, productivity decreased, and many people were fired from their work. If COVID-19 does not end as soon as possible, a lot of industries will close, and depression again. Many people can't earn money, and our economy will be stagnated.

Many people want this virus to disappear. However, this virus does not easily disappear. It is because scientists have difficulty in making a vaccine because this virus mutates continuously. Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft and Gates Foundation, said that it could be widespread again in winter. He also said that because of COVID-19's indirect influences, the number of pregnant women, child's death, and hunger keeps rising. As we know, COVID-19 is a very dangerous virus. It changed our lives. However, we can live a normal life again if we wear our masks and wash our hands often. Although we cannot completely exterminate this virus until the vaccine is developed, we can still protect ourselves if we continue wearing our masks. I believe that someday COVID-19 will disappear, and we could live our normal life again.
