A suspect of murder in Gwanak District was sentenced to life imprisonment in the trial of an appeal. He was accused of killing his wife and his son.

On August 21st, last year, a suspect killed his wife and his son on his bed. His wife's father called the police because he could not contact his daughter. After a month, the police spotted the man, the victims' husband and father, as a suspect. The prosecution tried to consider things because of the absence of a deadly weapon in the crime venue, the absence of any footprint of invasion of a stranger, and not any stolen goods. Also, there were no CCTV video and a witness about the murder.

According to the Department of Justice, at the first trial, the suspect has sentenced to life imprisonment. The reason for the sentence was there is no possibility of invasion without knowing the entranced, and the person who knows the password would be a criminal. Also, during the trial, he did not show any movement when he was shown his wife's and son's autopsy pictures, and his son's statement. His anger and his radical personality about the refusal of economic supports when he was bankrupt by gambling while he had liaison were shown to be a reason for the case.

On October 29th, 2020, at his trial on an appeal case, the Department of Justice sentenced him to life imprisonment again, the same as the first trial. The department said that all the forensic doctors said that a person's stomach is emptied for about four to six hours, so it was strange that the victims' stomach was not emptied even after dawn on the next day. Also, there were many vestiges at the back of the left part of his wife's neck, and on the right part of his son, concluding that the criminal was ambidextrous, same as the man.
