Insect food

                                                                                     Yoon, ye-jun

In 2015, Global Surveyor is coming. The United Nations Economic Commission for Asia and Energy released its ' 2015 World Population Report '. According to the report, the world's population is currently around 7.3 billion, and the number of people in the world will rise steadily in the next year, 7.3 billion in 2030, 96 billion in 2050, and 9.1 billion in 2100. We may need to eat insects as we reduce production and increase consumption of food. But many people mind eating insects.

The history of edible insects in China began about 3000 years ago, and there are 178 species of such insects. Of course Koreans have eaten insects. According to the people who eat insects, they are nutty and tasty. Representative edible insects include mealworm, locusts, spiders, and crickets.

Why is the consumption of insects being considered? The amount of greenhouse gas emissions in animals is 18 percent of total greenhouse gas emissions. And only one-tenth of a kilogram of pig meat is needed to produce a kilogram of meat, a kilogram of feed and a 2 man liter of water to get a kilogram of beef. On the environmental side, insects are more environmentally friendly than meat or fish. Also insects are more profitable economically. The insects have a narrow range of land sizes, a high land utilization rate, and a dozen to hundreds of thousands of eggs at a time, a

nd a new batch of new commissions is available for mass production and productivity. Also, saryobi is cheaper than meat, cuts down on labor, and secures stable food.

Carbohydrates, protein, fat, are our nutrients that build the human body Of those nutrients, protein is the most important nutrients. Most of human protein comes from fish or meat but according to the rapidly growing world population, The highest source of protein consumption and demand is meat. This creates an imbalance of supply. This lack of protein sources and of environmental pollution due to production problems has increased aedible insects as an alternative that has the same nutritional content of other required protein foods

The problem is an aversion to insect looks. If people could get over the looks of insects, insects are the perfect replacement as a future food.
