Korean Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters announced a new social distancing system from November 7th all over the country. Cheonan and Asan districts are in Level 1.5 since there are more COVID-19 cases than the standard of a new Level 1.5 distancing. The Central Disaster Management Headquarters of the Ministry of Health and Welfare will distribute card news, story cartoons, posters, and other things to form a consensus and promote the new system.
According to new rules, the distancing level is adjusting by average cases in a week. The Metropolitan area's average case should be under 100, Chungcheong, Honam, Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam area under 30, and Gangwon, Jeju under 10. From October 31st to November 6th, the average case was 92.1, so the distancing Level 1 would be started.
The original distancing had three levels; Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3. In contrast, the new distancing has three levels; Level 1, Level 1.5, Level 2, Level 2.5, and Level 3. Also, there are twelve high-risk facilities that should use the electronic access list; however, after the reorganization, nine facilities should use it: five entertainment facilities, karaoke, indoor standing stages, direct sales, restaurants, and cafes. This changed social distancing will assist common people and self-employed. This new distancing will reduce their pain.
The relief of the distancing does not mean that we can be relieved and go back to daily life. COVID-19 is still with us, so we cannot let go of the tension for a moment. We should wear our masks well, check the new rules, and follow them correctly. Also, it is very important for us to keep our bodies away from others but to be close to our hearts others.
