▲ Health authorities announced the change of social distancing.

According to health authorities, the social distancing level was changed as patients of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus are increasing. They implemented level 1, the lowest level of social distancing except for the city of Cheonan and Asan. On November 7th, the newest change of social distancing level was implemented.

Based on the number of patients on November 8th, 143 cases of infections were reported including 118 local patients. The infections rose by three-digit numbers compared to the 7th. Comparing to November 7th, 54 patients were added, and on November 6th, the number of infected people slightly reduced. On November 7th, patients were reduced by two-digit numbers, but they returned in just one day. The number of released from quarantine facilities was a total of 58. Also, one death was reported, and the fatality rate is 1.74 percent.

▲ In Cheonan, mass infection was reported from a call center company.

Health authorities implemented level 1 of social distancing, the lowest level except for the city of Cheonan and Asan. In Cheonan, a mass infection of 30 patients was reported from a call center company in Cheonan. According to a call center agent, there are 70 to 80 workers in the company, but they were working without wearing masks. In Asan, a mass attack was reported from a wedding hall. Because of these mass infections, health authorities implemented level 1.5 of social distancing in Cheonan and Asan.

Level 1 of social distancing is focused on the controllable level of transmission. Namely, people can live ordinary lives while wearing masks during level 1 of social distancing. However, level 1.5 of social distancing is implemented when the local infection was in progress. In level 1.5, there are more particular restrictions than level 1 of social distancing like restricting the number of people in social gatherings.
