Heavy rain hit all of Korea so there were many cases of damage. Example, First a park near the Banpo bridge. It was located on the southern side of the Han River in Seoul and the water level went above the bridge. August 3rd This was due to torrential rains that have been pounding the country’s interior regions since August 1st. Secondly, in North Chung Cheong Province. There were three landslides on August 9th killing four people. One person was found dead after soil poured over a farm and an attached residential building. Also, a man in his 80s died after being swept under a water stream in Seoul. Around 1,540 people were evacuated, and 190 housing units were flooded. A total of 3,410 facilities were damaged from the downpour while 818 people lost their homes. A total of 2,800 hectares of land was sunk as well as damages continued to be reported. President Moon-Jae-in said, “Cancel all the summer trip and stay home until the rainy season is finished”.

This year’s rainy season was very serious. The cause of the rainy season was ‘Climate Change’ caused by Global warming. Now, we have to protect the Earth for our lives. To do this, first, we should use a separate collection. Separate collection can reduce the use of plastic to prevent global warming. Secondly, using public transportation or walking for short distances can reduce emissions and prevent the Earth from getting warmer. We should all try to make a better environment to live in on this planet.
