The typhoons named Bavi, Maysak, and Haishen hit South Korea with gaps of a week. These made enormous damages to all districts in South Korea.

First, Typhoon Bavi moved northward off the east coast of Taipei, Taiwan, and radically strengthened at the East China Sea. It did not land at South Korea directly, but because of its strong wind, it affected the west coast of South Korea, including Jeolla-do, Gyeonggi-do, and Seoul. It killed a person in Jeju-do.

Second, typhoon Maysak formed to the east of the Philippines and developed in the west sea of Okinawa, Japan. It landed in the northwest sea of Busan on September 3rd and moved to North Korea, It damaged Jeju-do and the east side of South Korea. It recorded a death, 2,900 people were evacuated into shelters and damaged about 5,100 hectares of farmland.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration center, they predicted the Typhoon Haishen will get through the center of South Korea, which means that all provinces would be damaged. Then, when the typhoon changed its route, they predicted it would pass to the East Sea of South Korea, damaging the eastern provinces. However, it landed in Ulsan, so the eastern side of South Korea including Gyeongsang-do, and Gangwon-do had damaged enormously. Because of it, the wrong prediction, about the weather has been criticized.

Typhoon Maysak and Typhoon Haishen, have a short gap and a similar route, so they could not prepare well. Also, the damages were bigger in other provinces. All the districts are still restoring from the damages until now.
