COVID-19 is a respiratory disease from an animal. There are about 23 million people who received a definite diagnosis, and there are about 0.8 million people who died because of this horrible disease as of August 22nd, 2020 report. COVID-19 affects not only human lives but also our society in various ways. In a negative way, it has made every industry stopped, and in a positive way, it has improved the environment.

For the negative effects, the most visible one is the economic status of most countries. Recently, many leading countries are suffering from COVID-19. So, they experience the slump of the economy. Their slumps affect other countries where they depend on exports. If this problem constantly persists, the whole world must be hard to live. Next is the slump in tourism. Now, many countries are closing their boundaries, so the number of personal exchanges decreased. Therefore, many sightseeing countries are in a serious problem. Third, the rate of unemployment is increasing. Many companies go through financial difficulty, so they did a reduction in management. This accelerates the decrease in jobs. Especially in the USA, more than 10.2 percent of workers lost their jobs by August 17th, 2020.

However, during this hard time, nature is breathing now. The decrease in the usage of cars and other transportation vehicles makes our air environment clear. Based on statistics, the amount of carbon dioxide in China has decreased by about 25 percent, and the world has decreased by about 50 percent because the usage of coal decreased. Also, people do not move to other regions, so the usage of fossil fuels is decreased, too. The environmental experts said that the days which have fine dust decreased, and sometimes, the wild animals are seen to the near mountains.

Now, the situation is very hard for everybody, because of the economic and safety problems. However, people should try to keep cleanliness and prevention rules. Some experts said that we cannot go back to how our life was in the past. Nevertheless, we have to win the war COVID-19 and be able to return to our previous lives.
