K-pop idol group, BTS, debuted at No.1 on Billboard Hot 100 Chart with the English song 'Dynamite' for two weeks. They are making history among all Korean singers.
Billboard, a U.S. music media outlet, reported an article titled "BTS 'Dynamite', No.1 on Billboard Hot 100 for the second week" on September 8th. It is the 20th song which has remained on top for two weeks on Hot 100. In addition, "Dynamite" topped the "Digital Song Sales" and "Canadian Digital Song Sales" charts and also topped a number of charts. "Dynamite" is the song that contains BTS' desire to spread vitality through difficult times with COVID-19. With its exciting disco genre, hopeful lyrics, and retro concept, BTS captivates not only the American public but also fans from around the world.
After achieving the milestone of topping on the Billboard singles chart, they visited KBS, a domestic broadcasting station. This is the first time that BTS has visited a local media outlet for an interview. On the interview of KBS news, they said that they did not expect their song to take first place for two weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. When such a good thing happens, they suppose to meet their fans and celebrate with them, but they were sad because the situation outside was not so good. Also, they said that they were dreaming of performing as a stand-alone act and winning a prize at the Grammy Awards.
