What festival do you like to enjoy? many people like many festivals and there are so many kinds of festivals in the world. Then, have you ever heard about the "Mime festival"? It may be unfamiliar with many ordinary people. However, there is a festival which is very famous for artists and manias, and it is called the Chuncheon International Mime Festival. It is based on "body, movement, and image". It is also known as the world's top three mime festivals with the Mime Festival in London, and Mimos Festival Perigueux in France.

private art festivals that were selected by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (MCST). It was held on May 24th to May 31st. In chuncheon, many places were opened to hold the events during the festival. Chuncheon Jungang-ro, Chuncheon Songam Sports Town, and Hallym University Ilsong Art hall were the representative places for the festival's events. Also, not only Chuncheon citizens can enjoy the festival but also tourists and foreigners from around the world. Chuncheon International Mime Festival is the first festival that has exchanged internationally for mime's popularity and globalization.
The mime festival this year consists of many events. On May 25th, there was a mime fringe. On May 26th, there was the city of water event or called as "a su (水) ra jang" and festival club. On May 27th and 28th, there were theater performances "Fauna" and the festival club. There was also an event in which people spent overnight in the water or also called as "mul hwa (火) il chae" on May 29th to 30th. Lastly, on May 31st, there was an event, called the city on fire or also called as "do gga bi nan jang". Each event showed featuring themes such as fire, each event, there were many good restaurants where people want to eat.

However, because of the effect of COVID-19, it was unfortunately not being attended by the overseas performance team. However, those who just live in South Korea still enjoyed the festival, but they had to follow some protocols such as writing their names in the attendees' list and observing proper sterilization and sanitation. They
also had to submit themselves for a temperature check.
Chuncheon International Mime Festival is not that famous t the general public. However, many people can be interested in this festival. Search for this festival on the internet and be a big fan of mime!
