Starting last April 30, many holidays have been celebrated in a week, so Korean people called this week "Golden Week". April 30th is Buddha's birthday, so Korean people celebrated Buddha's birth. On that day, people that believe in Buddhism participated in Lotus Lantern Festival. May 5 is Children's Day and is designated as a national holiday just like Buddha's birthday. That is why not only families with children but also office workers take a rest at this time of the year or find places where they travel.

However, it is too dangerous and difficult to go abroad at this time because COVID-19. So, people find a place which can give them energy or make them have a good memory in South Korea.

According to Jeju Tourism Association, people during the four-day visit from April 29 to May 2, 138,802 tourists visited Jeju. Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone is a famous vacation spot in Jeju which is included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage. Many people visited this place. In addition, Sassani Forest Road and Woljeongri Beach are already known to have many great spectacles.

Also, many people visited Chungcheongbuk-do Province. A number of 8000 people visited the Old Sanmaki Road on May 2 in Goesan-gun where they enjoyed the purity of nature. In addition, Sangdang Mountain Fortress was crowded with couples and families. It offers a fresh and beautiful experience of natural environment.

The more people gathered in a famous domestic resort, the higher the risks are. It is because it is too early for people to gather in one place. Surprisingly, some people that were not wearing a mast were seen at an airport and in public places. Thus, we should be careful while enjoying the holidays.
