A lot of countries nowadays are craving for education systems that are able to meet the standards to be competitive in the changing world. In the fourth industrial revolution, the tension of the world's political system and the change of the world's paradigm push the education of each country to make students creative enough to survive this fast-changing world. What education systems and attitudes towards education that Koreans can learn from German education?

Firstly, German policies for teenagers are highly linked with free time spent outside school, and this free time means the time free from studying or job. This is the reason why the government built buildings associated with the teenage activity. According to studies from 2009, there are 541 youth hostels built across Germany. Users of youth hostels throughout the country are more than ten million people, and more than four million German teenagers take part in the disciplinary activity.

Germany is also known for the country carrying out sports for all. According to the studies in 2011, there are more than 6.5 million teenagers who are enrolled in soccer clubs. About 530 thousand German youths take part in tennis clubs, and 430 thousand youths take part in athletic clubs. There are more than 120 thousand facilities for teenage sports activities throughout Germany.

The perspective of how German politicians view teenage policies does not have a direct effect on policies related to teenagers. However, education policies in South Korea tend to change a lot based on which party takes lead-in, and the political spectrum often also shows in education systems. This is very unfair, considering that most teenagers do not have a right to vote, yet they are controlled by politicians who were chosen by adult generations.

South Korea has a very high standard of education compared to other countries, but many experts both in South Korea and out of South Korea say that the Korean education system needs a major change. By researching education systems practiced in other countries, we can get a clearer solution on how to change the education system to a system that students really want.
