No. 1 Golfer Dustin Johnson injured
U.S. Golfer Dustin Johnson was wounded just before the Masters tournament
U.S. professional golf player Dustin Johnson was wounded just before the Masters tournament, from April 7 to 10. He fell down some stairs and injured his back.
Eventually, he had to declare abstention before the start of the first round. Johnson's injury was named in Golf Digest's "Best Golf Awards."
Johnson also had a back injury on his jet skis ahead of the 2012 Masters tournament but placed 6th.
But because of this second injury, Johnson could not play in the Masters tournament.
"I cheered on a friend, and I was happy to see him win his first major win," said Sergio Garcia of Spain, who participated in the Wells Fargo Championship, from May 5 to 8.
Johnson said he is working hard on rehabilitation and aerobic exercise for next year’s Wells Fargo Championship.
“I’ve got a few weeks off, so I just kind of took it easy,” said Johnson. “Just been training a little bit, taking care of [my injury] so I won’t have any issues.
