Recently, the coronavirus which emerged in Wuhan, China is spreading out around the world. About 9000 people over the world have been infected and the other 200 dead by the virus. Even though many countries are taking preventive measures against it, it is rapidly spreading out globally . There are already 12 infected people in Korea as of the end of January. Accordingly, WHO (World Health Organization) has declared the international state of emergency on January 30.
By the way, why did the coronavirus appear? How could it have spread so fast to make a lot of people infected consecutively in a short period?

First, the outbreak of the coronavirus was caused by an interaction with animals. The virus transforms to mutant one when it goes through with animals. The virus contagion started for the first time from the people in Wuhan, China who ate bats that had been infected with the mutant virus since the last December.

Second, why does it spread out among people so fast? It is because the virus could be infected even during the incubation period. This means people can be infected with the virus even when there would be no symptoms of it. This is one of the biggest concerns about this situation. Therefore, although, many governments are trying to block the contagion, more and more people should be infected faster than ever.

Third, since the mutant virus such as the corona one requires at least several years to make the vaccine, we would see more infectees and victims than ever. Besides, many other economic and social damages should be caused by road.
With the number of infectees increasing rapidly around the world, the most important should be to prevent the virus' proliferation around the world. The Korea Centers for Disease Control and WHO advised to wash hands clean for more than 30 seconds and wear a KF94-certified mask, which can prevent more than 90 percent of the infections.
