The TV program, "I Want to Know It", in the afternoon of January 4th, aired an episode titled "A Manipulated World - Is It a Music Hoarding? Is It Viral Marketing?" Some singers and producers who claim to have received suggestions on music hoarding also appeared for interviews. Suspicions were also touched on how music hoarding is made. However, Vibe, Song Ha Yea and Jang Deok Cheol, who were in controversy over their hoarding after the disclosure of Park Kyung at the end of the year 2019, insisted that they had only conducted viral marketing and did not do any illegal music hoarding.
Shortly after the broadcast, IU, a famous singer, posted the screen of "I Want to Know It" on her Instagram. The content on the screen is a scene where a K-pop official said that she feels like she knows why some do hoarding, and IU pleaded the people not to do the same. Sunmi, also a famous singer, also posted the broadcast screen of "I Want to Know It" on her Instagram with an expressionless emoticon, and HyunA also posted the broadcast footage.
"I Want to Know It" revealed a claim of one informant, who said that people said that they posted it on Facebook, but it was just to create a justification for doing hoarding on Facebook. He also said that they are using a macro program that generates numerous music site IDs and continues to play them automatically. He also revealed one circumstance in which a music site ID was stolen and traded. The other informant added to the shock by saying that songs there had never heard with his ID was playing.
