Imagine coming back home at eleven. You would surely be exhausted and tired. However, Korean students do their homework after coming back from the academy. It means Korean students spend too much time on private education.

Parents say that if their children study hard and go to a good university, then they can be employed easily. Also, if students study hard, they will be happy for the rest of their life. If they do not study when others do, then they could easily fail, because studying is the easiest way to success. However, parents who are against private education say it is very bad, and it just makes students poor. Then, they say students are not machines that will work for other people after studying at a university. Also, other advanced countries do not do private education, and their schools have been improved. So, South Korea should do this, too.

Students say that parents should think about them and they should consider their emotions. Also, they think studying is not the only way to success. They can be successful in other things. Also, although they succeed by doing private education, they will not be happy because that is not the thing that they want to do. So, they will say success is not real success. The biggest cause of teenage suicide is education, and it is mostly because of private education. However, there are also students who are not against private education because for them, it necessary, and it makes them get better grades.

To sum up, there are good effects of private education, but it can make the students poor. So, a debate is still ongoing, and people can decide which one is good or bad. We should not judge, but we should think about it.
