▲ South Korea was excepted from White List

On August 31st, Japan allowed the export of hydrogen fluoride. For now, Japan has exclaimed that hydrogen fluoride can be used for poison gas. But, Japan allowed export because of Japans' company. Some people say that Japan has mitigated the export control for some products because of the intervention of WTO. Since July 28th, Japan has excluded South Korea from the white list. Because of that, both Japan and South Korea's economies are uncertain.

▲ Japan imposed an export control on Korea

The white list is the country list that does not need a permit application when Japan exports its technological and electronic component which can be harmful to the security. South Korea was the only Asian country in Japan's white list. However, since July, Japan has imposed an export control in three products. Also, it has increased to 100 products and has lead to an exception from the white list. Because of this, South Korea decided to manage 159 products which are possible to be controlled in exportation.

In this export control, many historical problems are related. In World War II, South Koreans worked in Japan by force, South Koreans and the government want the apology from Japan, but Japan says that the money they gave was enough to compensate about labor. Japan and South Korea reply strongly about historical problems, and this has continued until now. However, both countries can suffer heavily when this condition goes on. So, Japan and South Korea have to find a breakthrough as soon as possible and finish this historical problem properly to satisfy both countries.

In this export control, many reasons lead to South Korea's exclamation of Japan's white list. Many South Koreans and the Japanese know that acknowledging the sickness and fault of history is difficult. however, both countries have to find a way to maintain each economy and try to improve the relationship between each other.
