Hyundai officially stated that Kona that was released in 2017 took a favorable review through being selected as ' This Year Spain Car 2018' and ' This Year North American Car 2019', so Hyundai Kona, which has hybrid model, seemed to satisfy with various clients.

Hyundai stated to release 2020 Kona which has three trims and advanced fuel economy and Kona Hybrid which has four attraction such as fuel economy, car-to-home, luxury infotainment, and high- tech driver assistant system.

Hyundai simplified eight trims to three trims and applies Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist(FCA), Lane Keeping Assist(LKA), Driver Attention Warning(DAW), and rear parking distance warning fundamentally. Especially, 2020 Kona diesel model applies the new diesel exhaust fluid type so that its fuel economy will be 17.5km/l which is advanced by 4.2 percent. About Kona Hybrid, first, it is powered by gasoline 1.6 engine, six-speed double-clutch transmission, and hybrid system so that it will have 105 PS, maximum toque 15.0 (kgf.m), and 19.3 km/l fuel economy. Next, it applies car-to-home which controls a loT such as boiler, lights, and air conditioner in the car. Third, it loads 10.25-inch wild navigation which is abl3e to connect two Bluetooth machines at the same time, divide three displays, recognize natural words through Kakao, and update wirelessly. Lastly, it applies smart cruise control (SSC) which keeps speed owner nominates and includes Stop and Go, Lane, Keeping Assist(LKA), Highway Drive Assist(HDA), an electric parking brake including an auto hold that can improve driver convenience.
