Kang Daniel debuted from an audition program, Produce 101, in 2017, and worked for an idol group, Wanna One. After working for Wanna One, Kang Daniel debuted for a single from Konnect Entertainment. Jihyo debuted from an audition program, Sixteen, which JYP Entertainment held. Then, Jihyo is now working for an idol group, Twice. Twice debuted in 2015, and had many hit songs such as "Cheer Up", "TT", and many more.

Dispatch first reported that Jihyo and Kang Daniel are in a romantic relationship. Dispatch captured that they were dating. On July 25th, it was the day when Kang Daniel debuted for a single and had a showcase. After a showcase, Jihyo went to Kang Daniel's house for a date. Kang Daniel's house is an eligible place to date because its security facilities are exhaustive. On other days, Twice members gave Jihyo a ride to Kang Daniel's house.
