Every country has their own traditional culture. It makes a significant feature and sometimes beneficial to its country. These days, however, the spread of westernization makes people forget about the necessity of traditional culture. South Korea is in the same situation. The country has a great traditional culture, but Koreans are forgetting their own culture. People should know its importance, and it needs to be preserved.

The feature of Korean traditional culture is that the quality is great, but it takes a long time to produce. Due to westernization, our life became convenient and people started to prefer fast and convenient western culture. As a result, most of the Korean traditional cultures were replaced to western culture. People pursue not only convenience but also advantage, so the preservation of traditional culture decreased. For example, according to a Korean article, Japanese traditional paper is used in national formal paper instead of traditional Korean paper. It is ignored because of its high expense and difficult distinction, so corporations also do not want to produce it, and it cannot be widely used.

The preservation of Korean traditional culture is important since the identity of South Korea, which means the preservation of the culture of South Korea is a must. Not only national support but also individual awareness is significant to preserve own traditional culture. People should not forget about what is Korean traditional cultures and their function. Fortunately, Korean students learn about them in their class. Also, some Korean traditional cultures are already fading and people try to preserve them. Advertising about Korean culture to the country also can help to promote the cultures' preservation.

Korean traditional cultures are great but people often forget their importance. People should be aware of their own culture and try to preserve it. Everyone hopes their culture to be preserved for the future generation, so people of this generation have to give a hand for the preservation of their own culture.
