When everybody thinks of summer, they feel too hot and do not want to do anything. However, we can enjoy festivals in summer and have a good time with our family, friends and even lovers. Some of these festivals are Haeundae Sand Festival, Moonlight Tour of Changdeok Palace and Festival of Catfish Beard.

▲ Haeundae Sand Festival

First of all, Haeundae Sand Festival is held in Haeundae, Busan. It is a kind of beach festival and the world's only land-based and eco-friendly theme festival in an international tourist city. It is held from May 24 to May 27. Looking backward, this festival took its first step in 2005 for the successful hosting of APEC. Now, it moved beyond Haeundae to represent Busan. In there, we can enjoy the music involved at the same time. Moreover, there are places which are convenient for visitors. Also, a deck road was constructed to make the viewing more comfortable.

Second, Moonlight Tour of Changdeok Palace is held in Seoul, South Korea. In its first half, it is held from April 4 to April 28 and from May 9 to June 6. In its second half, it is held from August 22 to October 27 every day except Monday. In 2019, this festival is on its tenth year as a representative cultural event. The palace is also registered as a UNESCO world heritage site. We can enjoy the hidden old stories of Changdeok Palace by lighting up the street every year and doing a variety of programs.

Finally, we can have a good time in Festival of Catfish Beard, in Yangpyeong-gun. The festival is organized and hosted by the organizing committee of Sumi Village. At the festival, we can catch fish by hunting for loach with bare hands and catching catfish with bare hands. Also, we can experience the release note. After we catch the catfish, it can be eaten or donated to the fish section where people can freely taste it. There is also an experience program called "Play with the Sand." In this program, we can find sand treasure. Other programs include exploring underwater ecology, playing free water, playing water fights, and exploring reeds in amphibious carriages.

In conclusion, there are so many summer festivals that are being held in South Korea. With these festivals, we can have a refreshing summer. So, we must make sure that we travel with our family, friends, acquaintances or even lovers. Have a great time with these festivals in summer!
