Multicultural family means an international marriage family who is living in the country with one of its parents is naturally born South Korean. After the 1990s, South Korean society became multicultural by gradually forming international marriage in South Korea. According to the globalization, many people moved nations to nations, so the number of marriage between countries increased.

However, most immigrants suffered from living in South Korea. They experience difficulties in the difference of culture, difficulties of communication, and difference of their companion. Many immigrants came to South Korea to help their family financially, but they could not help easily because of the high cost of living in South Korea and the difficulties of having a job. Unlike most South Koreans, they suffered from being discriminated by native South Koreans. As many South Koreans believe that they have stereotypes schemes toward immigrants who came from developing countries, they also have psychological difficulties of being getting a look from them.

The other problem is that the education of their children. As they are born between multicultural parents, they have limitations in learning and being proficient in Korean. This would result in having difficulties in learning in South Korea. Also, they can be inferior in getting along with their friends in kindergarten or schools. As immigrants have difficulties in having a job, children also had difficulties in getting along well with their friends and spending their time at school.

Therefore, there are many difficulties in living in South Korea as a multi-cultural family for all foreigners. To solve these problems, South Korean society has to make a lot of education programs for students, and jobs for employers, and parents that they should understand its culture and should not discriminate them for the reason that they are different to us. It is the reality that multicultural families are increasing now, but most of South Koreans do not change their thoughts. So, it is time that we should change our vision toward them!
