A petition of the wife of child rapist Cho Doo-soon was disclosed to the public. According to a Korean TV show, it was determined that the petition was written when Cho Doo-soon faced a trial about sexual crimes in 2008.

Cho Doo-soon is a child rapist who has a criminal record of 17 convictions. On December in 2008, Cho Doo-soon committed sensational sexual crimes which happened in Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do Province. Cho Doo-soon sexually assaulted an eight-year-old girl in a church's bathroom. The eight-year-old girl was hurt eighty percent of the anal passage. After this terrible incident, Cho Doo-soon continuously denied his sin by making an excuse about alcohol, and the judge gave him 12 years of imprisonment because of his feeble-mindedness due to alcohol.

According to the petition that Cho Doo-soon's wife wrote, she defended him as a polite person. She emphasized that Cho Doo-soon had done chores for 20 years while she owned their living. She also wrote that they were a peaceful family unless he drank alcohol. She advocated him by shifting responsibility on alcohol. However, Cho Doo-soon is a brutal criminal who has a criminal record of 17 convictions, so it proved that the petition does not have any trustworthy.

After the petition was disclosed to the public, the victim's father was interviewed. According to the interview, the victim's father said that his family lives in a close distance with Cho Doo-soon's family. He expressed resentment about the reason why the victim's family should move. He was also scared about the possibility of recurrence of such terrible crimes. After showing the petition and the interview, people infuriated about Cho Doo-soon and his wife's aptitude. They also wonder if she reluctantly appealed to live.
