Do you know when is “science day”? The answer is on April 21. Choongang Middle School in Ulsan always does science’s day project every year. The purpose of the project is to improve student’s interest about science and to give much information to students who belong to Choongang Middle School.

At the day of Science Day Project, students do not study by a textbook, but they just do hard by themselves. So, this project is good to improve our ingenuity. Science Day Project has many types of activities and projects. For example, there are some activities and projects such as science news article, watching science movie and writing about own impression, fusion science, making a science model, drawing a science character and all that sort of things. One of the most popular activities is making a science news article because we can write a news article about science which is the issue or you like.

The whole school students do hard by themselves and put their head together and have a discussion about their problem. An interview with a junior student from Choongang Middle School, Nam Ji Eun, participated at writing a science news article. This is the second time of participating at Science Day Project, however, I felt so excited. This project is a good chance to improve my writing skill. I am so happy to write my own article, and it is nice to write an article about the issues I am interested in. Also, it is a good chance to improve unity between me and my friends.

The Science Day Project was so successful. After the Science Day Project, many students said that they have an interest in science, and it is a good time to know about science. In fact, science teachers tested us after the project. Surprisingly, most student’s science score was improved.

The Science Day Project was held first in Choongang Middle School. After the project, more schools started doing the same. The Choongang Middle School’s official plan is doing the Science Day Project every year and giving more interest to students so that they can gain more about ingenuity and ideas about science.
