Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg proposed a meeting with the South Korean President Moon Jae-in in a congratulation e-mail, according to Cheong Wa Dae on Sunday.

However, Cheong Wa Dae refused to reveal the original text, saying it was customary not to reveal such information.

"I want to meet the President as soon as possible," Zuckerberg wrote in the e-mail, according to Cheong Wa Dae.

Cheong Wa Dae said Zuckerberg congratulated Moon on becoming South Korea's 19th President and thanked him for using Facebook Live during his presidential campaign to promote his ideas and encourage netizens to vote.

Zuckerberg is also known to have agreed in the email with Moon's vision of a people-centered fourth industrial revolution.

According to the presidential residence, Zuckerberg told President Moon he "totally agreed with your statement to promote the fourth human-centered industrial revolution that you have written down on a visitor's board at Facebook Korea.

"Facebook will also make active efforts to achieve the fourth industrial revolution focusing on people."
