These days, gender equality is being watched. Gender equality means to enjoy equal opportunities and rights according to one's own ability without discrimination of gender. In Ulsan, Mugeo Elementary School has been researching gender equality for two years.

Mugeo Elementary School is making progress in many kinds of events all year round. First, there is a drawing event. On this day, the students are encouraged to draw pictures about gender equality. If they submit their great work, they will be given a certificate of award and goods like pencil or notes. Also, their work will be posted in the school's bulletin board. Second, there is a song composition event. Students are encouraged to compose songs about gender equality. Third, there is Dori Empathy Day. It is about fabrication and installation of Tile Mural Painting because our school's students have dreams that they will live in a society without sexism. Fourth, there is an event where students do a project homework. Since they believe in the importance of eliminating gender discrimination, they can make a presentation about it together with their classmates. Fifth, the school principle discusses gender equality to parents' role is also important in the practice of gender equality. Lastly, the students are also encouraged to climb Munsu Mountain with their fathers. So, they have homage ceremony about gender equality, too. However, there are some people who have a negative opinion about these events. One of the school's students, Son Chae Eun, said that too many events can lead the hostility about gender equality because of stress.
