The U.S. President, Donald Trump, demonstrated that the 2019 North Korea-United States Hanoi Summit was a practical negotiation of North Korea and the U.S. to know what each country wants. The president of North Korea and the U.S. president had a talk about denuclearization, but the two countries' position was clearly different. The U.S. wanted North Korea to denuclearize all regimes of North Korea. However, the North Korean president wanted a part of his regime for denuclearization. The U.S. believed that the North Korea-United States sanction cannot be segregated, so denuclearization of the part of the regime was believed as a joke. Also, each country's position of dismantling nuclear facility was not clear.

Even though North Korea and the U.S. had an animated negotiation, the 2019 North Korea-United States Hanoi Summit was a failure. During the second summit, each country's president canceled the schedule, business luncheon, and signing ceremony. Originally, the business luncheon was to be held at 11:55 a.m and the signing ceremony was to be held at 02:05 p.m, but the business luncheon was delayed for several minutes. At 01:02 p.m, each country's president came out at the location of the meeting and went to their lodgings. Also, U.S. President Donald Trump moved the interview schedule from 4 o' clock to 2 o' clock. People guessed that the possibility of the 2019 North Korea-United States Hanoi Summit's failure is high because they did not have a signing ceremony.

After the 2019 North Korea-United States Hanoi Summit, South Korea's president, President Moon, demonstrated South Korea's stance. He said that the summit was a meaningful process to have mutual understanding and reliability between two countries. President Moon was sure to make a success in the 2019 North Korea-United States Hanoi Summit for close contact between North Korea and the U.S.
