Honorable chairs and fellow representatives, I am the representative of Pakistan.
Pakistan is the fifth most populous country in the world and the second largest country in South Asia.
In Pakistan, 49 percent of the population is female. Despite the large share of women, they are not treated equally with men.
Our gender equality ranking remains the lowest in the world. Women are forced to keep their honor code strictly if not, it becomes the reason for their death. So we Pakistan wants the U.N. to accept our problems and work them out together. 'Aurat' A foundation named was founded in 1986 to take care of Pakistan and raise awareness and commitment to democratic societies. Women in this society are the foundation that claims to be treated equally as men and women who have the right to live with dignity. The Aurat Foundation is now recognized as a national and international leader. It is widely used in other parts of the world for the trust of residents and for the excellent promotion of the union.
Also, it is effective in empowering women. In recent news, the problem of discrimination against women has become more serious. There are cases where many women have been hurt and killed themselves.
They held rallies in favor of and against discrimination against women and tried to reduce discrimination against women. The U.N. hosts dozens of events to celebrate Women's Day and reassures them by creating women-only transportation so they can use safe transportation for women.
At this moment, women in some countries, including Pakistan, suffer from discrimination and oppression.
Why don't we make this country and the world a better place for women? Please give us your support. We prepared in a really short time and were lacking and poor, but it was a fun and informative time. If this opportunity to participate to me next time, I’ll do it without any hesitation.
