A club named Burning Sun which is run by A Big Bang member, Seungri, got caught into an assault and drugging incident which occurred on November 24th, 2018.

The incident's victim, Kim Sang Kyo, asserted that he was physically assaulted by the club guards and police. During the incident, he was at the Burning Sun witnessed a woman who was taken by a man. Kim Sang Kyo prevented a woman to be taken by a man, but he was physically assaulted by the club guards. Then, when the police came, although Kim Sang Kyo told that he was assaulted by the guards, the police arrested him and assaulted him at the police station. The police also blamed Kim Sang Kyo and threatened him to be accused of business obstruction.

According to a guard who had worked there for three months, although there is a bathroom in Burning Sun, he witnessed that VIP customers used a hotel bathroom altogether. Burning Sun released a statement that Burning Sun vowed to improve its safety. However, Seungri's name was not cleared in a statement. YG entertainment clarified that Seungri resigned on the last week of January because of his military enlistment on March. However, Seungri took responsibility because Seungri was said to be at the Burning Sun when the incident occurred.
