The movie Door Lock was released in Korea on December 5. The movie stars Hyo Jin Gong, Ye won Kim, and Sung Oh Kim. Door Lock is a horror movie about a woman being terrorized by an intruder in her house.

In the movie, the main character Kyung Min lives in her apartment. Her apartment is one room. But, at night, somebody comes into her house. So, she talks to a police officer, but he can`t find who it is. She talks to her friend. Her friend says, “Change your door lock number.”, and she changes her door lock number. She thinks it is safe. But when she leaves, the villain gets in her house and hides under the bed. When she comes back, she doesn`t know that he is in her home, so she just slept. At night, the villain gets out from under her bed. Before that time, she was at the convenience store. Furthermore, she met the villain. But, he arrived at her house earlier than her. She comes home immediately, but the villain is under her bed! She knows that the villain is in her house through the CCTV. Police officers start investigating, but, they can`t find the villain. Also, he kills her boss Chun Hee. Surprisingly, the supporting character Bok Rae is suspected to be the villain, but he isn`t the villain. The real villain is Dong Hun. Dong Hun is a manager of the studio where Kyung Min lives. Kyung Min and the detective watch the CCTV and trace him. Finally, they find Dong Hun. Dong hun attacks the detective and the detective dies. Kyung Min attacks Dong Hun, but he tries to attack Kyung Min with an ax. She resists and Dong hun gets stuck on a nail. Kyung Min moves to another apartment and that`s the end. People who watched the movie said living alone is dangerous, but we have only one door lock which we can rely on. Most people said it was scary, but its story was very interesting. However, other people said it isn`t different from other horror movies like “Witness” and “Hide and Seek”. In the middle of the movie, the performances became lacking. Police officers searched for the door lock key, but they couldn`t find the key. Also, Kyung Min found the villain’s house very easily. She followed the cat and found his house. Like these things, the movie lost its own concept. It used the horror movie cliché.

Door Lock`s concept is very unique and scary, and its concept is so realistic. But the music makes the mood very weak. So, the movie`s mood is not very scary. Also, in Door Lock, there are many characters. But while we watch the movie, we can guess easily who the villain is.

These are the disadvantages of this movie. Door Lock’s concept is very unique and interesting. But the movie director has to use well this concept well.
