The world's tallest building is a skyscraper which became the tallest building in South Korea passing away the Northeast Asia Trade Tower in Incheon. It is the 'Lotte World Tower' built by Lotte Construction in Seoul, South Korea. It is the sixth tallest building in the world with 555 meters height. It has 123 floors. Lotte construction applied a lot of technologies to the Lotte World Tower, and it has a lot of facilities. So, many people visit the Lotte World Tower. Especially, plenty of construction technologies are applied to it such as large-scale foundation work, Outrigger, and Belt Truss System, Diagrid System, Double Deck Elevator, and super high strength concrete.

First, Lotte World Tower is 750,000 tons, so the foundation work had to be large in scale. To bear its weight, contractors dug up underground up to 38 meters, set up the 108 of the piles which is 30 meters long and 1 meter in diameter, and proceeded the foundation mat construction which is 72 meters width and 6.5 meters thick. Second, they applied special earthquake resistant and wind resistant materials. They used Outrigger and Belt Truss System, too. This system makes the Lotte World Tower maintain its elasticity and minimize its shaking. So, it can bear up to 9 magnitude quake and wind speed of 80m/s. Third, they applied 'Diagrid Technology' which is a diamond-shaped construction to bear weight without pillars. When the wind hits the tower, the diamond-shaped structure of Diagrid Technology will resist by tensile force and compressive force alternately, so the tower can endure the intensity of earthquake and wind. Fourth, they used 'Double Deck Elevator technology' in which two lifts are connected to the other in the Lotte World Tower. Also, its velocity is 600m/s, and it is so safe. Thanks to it, more people can move in minimum time safely. Fifth, they used super high strength concrete which is 150Mpa in strength. 150Mpa of concrete is the strength being able to endure the accumulation of 100 medium-sized cars in the palm of an adult. Also, they developed high-rise vertical compression concrete which can rise to 500m without hardening with low viscosity but with high strength and economy.

The Lotte World Tower is not only strong but also is eco-friendly. The Lotte Tower's structure was made with the Lotte World Tower products. The Lotte Tower saves energy by using solar light, solar heat, geothermal heat, and chemical energy of hydrogen and oxygen. Thanks to plenty of the structure technologies, not only Koreans but also a lot of people around the world visit and enjoy the Lotte World Tower. There is a necessity to expect the role of the Lotte World Tower in the future.
