On August third, Hyuna admitted to being in a romantic relationship with the fellow of the group Triple H and also the member of a pentagon, E'Dawn for two years on her Instagram. Hyuna and E'Dawm met when E'Dawn was a trainee, and they started their relationship around May 2016. Hyuna and E'Dawn got closer while making music together.

On August second, Hyuna's agency, Cube Entertainment, denied the romance rumor with Hyuna and E'Dawn. However, the next day, August third, Hyuna uploaded a post which is about the romance rumor and admitted about it on her Instagram. She said that they wanted to be honest with their fans and that she will do her best on the stage. She also thanked her fans on her Instagram.

There is even evidence of Hyuna and E'Dawn's romance rumor. They have a couple of tattoos. There is a cross-shaped tattoo on Hyuna's arm, and also, there is a cross-shaped tattoo on E'Dawn's grain tailings. Also, the ideal type of E'Dawn is the same features of Hyuna. In one program, Pentagon members drew the ideal type of E'Dawn. They drew a woman who is similar to Hyuna and has a spot which is perched like Hyuna's spot. Because of this evidence, fans and netizens were more doubtful about Hyuna and E'Dawn's romance rumor.
After admitting the romance rumor, SNS such as Twitter were full of fans and netizen's reaction. Most fans and netizens reacted that is okay to date one another singer but it is not polite to date while working. Some netizens also said that Hyuna and E'Dawn deceive fans.
The effect of the romance rumor of Hyuna and E'Dawn is amazing. Most fans canceled the tickets to go to the inauguration of Pentagon. Also, Triple H stopped all schedules, so they are not going to perform in Incheon Kpop Concert 2018. The company of Incheon Kpop concert said that Triple H will not perform on stage because of their agency's internal affairs.
