In Ulsan Seo Girl's Middle School, there is the Mentor-mentee Project, which allows students to study with their friends. From that, students can check their own skills by teaching others if they are mentors, and if they are mentees, they can study with friends. Therefore, both can be interested in studying and improving academic performance at the same time.

Mentor-mentee Project is a project in which two friends of the same age are paired up to become mentor and mentee to help each other learn. They should make plans to study together when they meet up, and after studying together, they should write an activity report and submit it to the teacher. If they do the project for a year and write an activity report, they can get a score that privileges them to do a volunteer work that helps them to go to high school or get a job later.

According to an interview with Ulsan Seo Girls Middle School student who is still doing the Mentor-mentee Project, the mentor was able to identify and supplement the weak parts of the mentee by teaching them both. She also said that she had to do it because she had a score that privileged her to do a volunteer work. The mentor-mentee activity is said to have the same effect.

Teachers who planned the Mentor-mentee Project like this activity because students enjoy it, and it works at the same time. According to a school survey of students who have been involved in these activities, 90 percent said that they were satisfied and wanted to do it next year. I believe that the project is successful.

Like the proverb that goes, "No road is long with good company", no matter how hard to study may be, studying with a friend who has similar ideas with same age can be more interesting and can improve academic performance.
