On March 31st, the variety TV show "Infinite Challenge" was ended which ran for 13 years. For the last 13 years, MBC's "Infinite Challenge" was one of Korea's oldest-running and most successful shows. A lot of people said that watching it every Saturday night was their daily life and pleasure. However, the program director Kim Tae-ho said that his life was not always been joyful, and he explained why he had to end the program.
Through the "Infinite Challenge", Kim became a star producer. However, he suffered from tight schedules and stress from the thought, "What should I do next week?" Kim is also a father. However, he could not to do his role as a father. So, he needs a rest and to have refreshment. He said, that when working, he valued the show's color. However, keeping the color was hard, which even hurt his self-esteem. After thinking over the problem, he realized the color of the program was 'his' color as well, so he decided to take a rest. He felt like a piece of clothing that has been washed and dried already, and he had been feeling empty. So, he needed to fill himself again. Kim also said he planned to focus on spending time with his family, teaching his young son, reading the series of world literature and traveling around.
Many fans missed it because "Infinite Challenge" was the first reality talent program and it donated 6.3 million dollars. Also, it liaised foreign stars a lot like, Thierry Henry (soccer player, France), Fedor Emelianenko (Boxer, Russia), Paris Hilton (actress, USA), Jack Black (Actor, USA), Stephen Curry and Seth Curry (basketball players, USA), Manny Pacquiao (Boxer, Philippines), and it led communication with viewers.
Kim did not give complete answers to questions on his future plan and the possibility of the program's revival. He said that he is accepting this reality, and he did not close his ears because he did not want to avoid criticism. After the program ended, MBC will show the history of "Infinite Challenge."
