The song resonated in the gymnasium and gently touched everyone's heart in the place. As the song finished, the audience replied by giving a big hand for minutes to the singers. Some were even crying. The singers on the stage were also crying and hugging each other, regardless of where they came from. This was the most touching scene that was seen between the two Koreas in years.
On April 3rd, 2018, artists from both South and North Korea performed a concert named "We Are One" at the Ryugyong Jong Ju Yong Gymnasium in Pyongyang. This concert had a big meaning in the interaction between the two Koreas.
In this concert, about 12000 audiences attended to see the harmony of artists from both Koreas. It was co-hosted by Seo-hyun, a member of Girl's Generation, and a reporter of North Korea named Choe Hyo-song. Unfortunately, Kim Jong-un, the head of North Korea, did not visit to watch the concert. About 160 South Korean artists and North Korea's orchestra performed in this concert. There were 11 teams which sang their own song or a famous pop song. Most people cried when Lee Sun-hee sang "Beautiful Country" and "To J" with Kim Ok-ju, who is a North Korean singer. As the concert got closer to the end, all the female performers came up to the stage to sing "Paektu And Hall Are My Fatherland". After, all performers were on the stage, and they sang "See You Again", followed by the children's song titled "Our Wish Is Reunification".
This was the last song that was prepared, and after this song, the audience gave a big hand to every singer. This clap went for more than 10 minutes after the end of the last song. They were all touched by their feelings, and no one could talk. They had been consoled simply by hearing the songs at the concert for about 2 hours. Much to everyone's regret, the singers from the South came back to Korea the day after the concert, finishing a four-day trip to Pyongyang.
